How To Export Spouses' Names Together

For those guests who entered their name and their spouse’s name together on the Registration Form, you can choose to have these names merged together into a single line item in the export, instead of appearing as two separate guests. This would be helpful if you are generating a mailing list from your Ministry Sync data.

To see an example, click on any guest’s name who registered as a part of a couple, and you will see that guest’s Person Profile. At the very top of this form in the “Basic Information” section you will see a box titled Merged Spouse Names.

  1. Click Export Data.
  2. Select the fields you want in your export by clicking the checkboxes next to those field names.
  3. In the “Special Features” section, click Merge Spouses.
  4. Select Export data to screen or Export data to file.
  5. Click Export Data.

The merged name will only be listed one time in the exported list. For example, if “Bob Smith” filled out the registration form for your event, and he entered “Ann Smith” as his spouse’s name, the merged spouse information would appear with Bob’s name in the export list.

Both Bob’s and Ann’s Person Profiles would contain the Merged Spouse Names box detailed above.

When you select the special export feature Merge Spouses, a total of three (3) columns will be added to your export: SpouseFirstName, SpouseLastName, and MergedName.
